Abigail’s Christening

What a lovely afternoon! The children have been to church to baptise our baby doll, Abigail.  The children took part in the service as parents, god parents, family and friends to witness Abigail become part of Gods family. She is now a light of the world!

The children are going to role play this special occasion In their church back at school. Watch this space for pictures.

We we would love to see pictures of the children’s christening day. please send them in to school so we can share them in class.

Making yummy jelly!

As you know, our topic this half term is ‘Wonderful Water’. We have been looking at all the different ways we can get water into our bodies to keep us healthy. One of the ways we can take water is through food. When the children found this out they where very surprised. We researched foods which had a lot of water in, e.g. Celery, fruit, soups and jelly.

We decided to make jelly in school. The children enjoyed eating the jelly once it had set! They used their senses to describe the taste, touch, smell and appearance of the jelly.

We then read Mr Jelly whilst wobbling and wibbling!! Well done reception.
